Its good to see you have a sense of humor now as for above 150 heck I just got into fourth gear at that speed. in fact pulled up on a busa for a quick look at his ride when he hit his speed limiter.
You should have seen his face when I shifted it into fifth gear pulled away.
Sport bikes are crunchy and taste like peanut butter:D

I see Carpenter, tuning, and a shifter in your signature. Any other modifications? Better yet, how do you hang on? As I approach the limiter, I can feel the wind trying to pluck me off and fling me down the road, and that's tucked tightly under a racing screen. I can't imagine the buffeting at that speed on an upright bike like the R3.

What Tomcat says, I went from a Honda Blackbird to the Rocket, best decision I ever made, and easier on the stuffed knees too
Guess what, i still have my honda Blackbird:) and i still love it:D

Those Sliverbacks are a real beast, a friend of mine has one and we raced the other day, i was riding my 99 Blackbird, he beat me, it was his first time racing it and he said he had to keep letting off because every time he gunned it it kept spinning, the video is on youtube, but dont know how to post it here:(

Yes I have some Carpenter goodies in mine. 11.9:1 pistons big cams, porting, big intake valves, and a supercharger to help spunk her up a little more :D
I use a seat that has a backrest in it for me to help hold me in it works real well without it I flap like a rug in the wind :)

Welcome to the forum... I'm really not one to give advice on the Roadster because i'm still enjoying my 05 Standard. I don't know what part of the country your from but finding a good dealer can be a challange. I would definately take a test ride before i made the decision. If your machanically inclined all the better, some of the dealers out there can really rape you. I've gone back and forth with different tires and at times had to travel quite a distance to find a dealer that knew what they're doing. I can't begin tell you how much fun this bike is, but that's something you'll have to decide for yourself.. Good Luck..

Nice, Lupe... you were both spanker and spankee!

Loved the western boots, btw - they looked just like my favorite pair of old Noconas.
