Just a question...

I joined because I had never heard of one of these bikes till I made the big mistake of taking one for a test drive at my local shop.......bought it when I got off the beast and gave my Roadstar to my brother.

The knowledge provided by the good people on this site has been very helpful, and I get great ideas for my own bike. The other site just didnt provide (Am still a member there) the R3 information and I agree they kinda look down their nose at us so I spend mopst of my time here.

Still havent met any of yall in person, but I hope to, just Colorado doesnt seem to be big Rockety territory yet.

Agree on all of the above

I joined just to make people think i ride a rocket,
the truth is that i ride a Rebel 250 with training wheels
and still too big for me

Why? Because I'm of the opinion that no one should be denied my presence. Okay, gotta go now. I'm expected to make an appearance over at the "Hell no, we won't sell our Yugo" forum in 15 minutes. I don't own one of those either, but...

Being me is such a burden. I don't know if a mortal man could do it.

Can't really say. Saw the link somewhere and gave it a try.

It was the best thing I could have done, otherwise I'd be basing decisions about what to do on 'advice' from the Triumph dealer or some other numpty at the general bike shops/yards. There's a roadster around here that I see on the road sometimes and the only other one I've seen occassionally parks next to mine outside work!! Same colour too. Has everyone confussed. I call it my decoy bike.

Other sites are either too hi tech or too low brow (or both). This one is spot on.

That's the name of my trading account ... "Money for a used YUGO". My neighbor in high school had one, the first one leaked oil so they just gave them another instead of fixing it.

Yes they are, and not a heck of a lot about Rockets either. Mostly sport bike types there. They seem to look away from us Rocket types, wonder why that is? Looked at pics from the 2010 DragonRaid and only saw one Rocket in all of the picswhats up with that? No offense, I reckon we're just a different breed and breedettes.

See what I mean Mexican, open honest conversation with great folks from every place and every walk of life.

I know what you mean Josey.
Jokes aside, let me tell you that like some of the guys here, im a member of the other side too and i also at one point visited the rat forum, they are great sites, the difference for me and i say it with all honesty, is that here i can be a Mexican without feeling intimidated by other members, i met some of you last spring and was impressed with how down to earth this guys are, just bikers, just human beings,no matter how rich or poor, how much education, how good of a job or what nationality, just plain normal people enjoing bikes.
Scowherd is the first one i meet and he went out of his way for me to find them keeping phone contact every hour, mind you that i had only like 10 posts, just a new guy,,,,,,
and that my friend, is why i joined this forum
