Judder spring or NO judder spring?

Warp, I prolly got around a couple hundred miles on the new clutch. Love the way it performs, just an occasional judder. About the cooling system, I had the front of my Rocket tilted up in the air, with the front wheel about 8 to 10" off the ground. After getting it back together, with the new Samco hoses, I filled it to the top of the radiator, and fired it up, as it ran, it bubbled/gurgled and I added anti freeze as needed until it didn't want anymore. Put the radiator cap on and took it for a short ride, and all was well. Pissed a little out the overflow when I got back, but that's to be expected. I don't have the recovery tank installed yet.

I think that there is an air bleed screw that needs to be bleed when u fill it up or air will stay in the block and cause troubles.

Yes there is a bleed screw, but I can't see how you'd get to it without being a contortionist with tiny fingers and hands!

i have not looked at mine
i would guess that the trick would be to not take it all the way out just back off a couple of turns to let the air out.

The bleeder bolt is also good at relieving the pressure on the cooling system when hot and you don’t want to wait. I did this when I was flushing the system.
Just remove slowly and not all the way!!
Be safe!!

My juddering clutch is settling down, and it's shifting much nicer than before the job. Still have to double lift sometimes, going into 4th or 5th, but no big deal. She runs really well for 58,000 miles on the clock. Now to get my 2 new Avons on.

keep a eye on the freeplay adjustment as you wear in the facings on the fibers.
