We just sat down to eat in Lake City on our way to Ft. Lauderdale. We are traveling down I-75

We have decided that the beer is plenty cold enough right here in Lake City so we are going to stay here for the night, get up tomorrow and go to Ft. Lauderdale where we will party like its 1999. Sunday we will resume our assault on the keys

We are going to try to leave Lake City at 9:00. Don't know what time that puts us near Tampa but I'm sure you local guys have a good idea about the timing.

As of now (11:45 PM EST Thursday Night), Accu-Weather says there's a 30% chance of rain down the east coast of Florida from Palm Beach County to Broward County, though it's not likely to be all day and the time is non-specific. Keep your rain gear handy - it's better to have it and not need it. Going to be warm - possibility of record temps n the mid-80s and with the rain forecast, likely to be humid as well.

They got totally slammed by rain down there Thursday night (as much as 15" in some locales).

Lots of flooded areas and standing water covering roads, and the main interstate/turnpike closed on Friday.

I don't know how it is today; but it's likely still all screwed up.

Stopped for lunch in Ormond Beach. We rode in the rain for two days so decided to run east out of the rain then head south.
