[Jan 8, 2014] I 10 road trip to the Keys. (I 10 Road Trip)

Took the Ultra in this morning for a new rear tire, but I think I have Nurse Ratchet talked into giving up her Princess seat and riding the Rocket . I plan on taking off the fly screen and putting on the windshield this afternoon and start prepping my girl for the trip
 
Muggzy is finishing up the transfer of the altered Jardine and the K&N's from the R3 Std to the Roadster. Plus, installing the Dobeck that I have had for over a year in my desk. He just called called to let me know it was ready. Said he took it out Hwy 377 to test A/F and exhaust fittings. Being he is primarily HD oriented, he was shocked when he looked down and saw he was in excess of 100mph. Being he is very understated, I could still tell he was impressed. Now if he would button up the SC project on the Std. Hopefully it will be waiting on me when we get back.
 
Nope...this is a "no plans" type adventure. I will have a computer with me so I can update as we go, but other than that I can't predict much. We are set to leave here (Houston) on Thursday the 9th. Should easily put us in Florida but Saturday some time.

I'll probably jump in with the group on I-12 at Hwy 190 by Covington LA, it's at mile marker 63.
Got a new (and bigger tail bag), and some Frogg Toggs just for the trip.
 
Don't forget Alabama Jacks biker bar/restaurant on Card Sound road. It's left at the start of the keys off US1. Great conch fritters and chowder.
