Waved good bye to my rocket today , left with its new owner to head south .

After 3 years the call of the sports bike has come back .

Bought a suzuki

So will be just a lurker now

Don't Be A Stranger

Be sure and let the new owner know about our site so we can keep track of the lineage!

Hope you enjoy the new ride.......beautiful bike. It's a shame you couldn't find a small decal that said, " Powered by Triumph ".

Have fun and keep in touch.

Very nice acquisition, Paul! Jolanta says that's the sexiest bike of 2008... and I have to agree.

She wants one... does the "tune selector" work well enough to de-tune it to a safe level for her?

It caught my eye a few months back at a show .
Bought this one second hand , 1 month old , done 200 miles , bit fast for him .
Saved a grand over new price
The tune selector does make quite a difference , as well as decreasing power it comes in different .
At the moment feels so tiny

It's water under the bridge, SJ. I realize it. Compliments, etc.

But, quite frankly, I am not getting it. Whenever I wanna cheat on the Rocket (a once a quarter urge), I either BORROW competitive machines from dealers demo fleets (and dealers are more than happy to oblige, given my age, my white hair and my 1967-vintage riding license) or I RENT one for the week-end. Failing that, I BUY one (my current 675 Street Triple is a case in point),.

And yet, I have always gone back to the Rocket. Jamie

Difficult to get dealers to loan you a machine in the uk for much more than an hour .
Renting is possible but would probably be in excess of £ 500 for a weekend .
2 bikes is a no no , I would be shot by the wife .

So one has to go to be replaced by another .

Plus I got so fed up of cleaning the rocket after winter rides , started to have a niggle about the bearings that keep failing ,mine was fine , but who knows , wife never found it comfy , so added it all up and went for the change

At least the chap who bought it is doing it justice , loves it already

SJ, good luck on the new machine, but do you think your wife is going to find that seat any better?
Dennis
