My approach was to put the wife on the back, scare her into getting her own bike. worked a treat, I have no pillion issues at all and I also have another licenced rider and bike in the family if needed. Sorted!
£20,000 . If pillion was an issue I'd get a man to build me a purpose built pillion/luggage config for a coupe of hundred, then flog it.

looking at this pic re-enforces for me, that the new R3R should have been renamed to separate the "New" look form the "Classic" look. I love the format of the R3 Classic/Roadster/Touring, I relate the classic look to the rock'n'roll / metal genre (cool). I relate the R3R to electronic / nanny state genre (fast but with help and monitoring). I guess depends what you see as cool

Conclusion: Its a great bike but for me its not rock'n'roll

My GT is at the Triumph dealer in Des Moines. Saw it, started it and sat on it. Didn’t get to ride it. I was totally impressed with the quality and design. To me it is an extremely good looking bike. They wanted to keep it until next week to show it off. Little quiet but I know in the future this will change with a different exhaust. Can’t wait to ride it. Does anyone know if the inspiration package is available. I would like to get it once I can find it.

I agree with that. It does have the sold sign and clearly states to not sit on it. I will look close when picking it up for any scratches.

I'd take it home immediately.
The dealer made money from you and you owe him nothing.
If he wants one to show off - draw customers, he shoulda bought his own.
