It’s growing on me!

I had a buddy offer to have sex with me if i bought him one of the new Indian Challengers you want in on the deal?:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

Maybe if it's a female buddy, but I want to see a picture of her first

I do so now sometimes, so it's a 4 speed lol

Money they split 2,3,4 into 2-5 on the new trans ratios to more closely mirror liter bike ratios. On the old trans the rockets 3rd had to cover the sport bikes 3 and 4, with 5th being between their 5 and 6 on most. It was a good balance for a 5 speed, but should've been a 6 with a .75:1 6th gear IMHO.

All motorcycle companies suck IMHO these days except BMW.

I agree that BMW makes the best bikes these days, and they have for a while.

A guy in my motorcycle club who travels a lot with his work was in a Triumph dealership out West and had a look at the new rocket -his words to me were -nice looking bike but it does not have the" what the f**k is that "when comparing it to the old Rockets, when he first saw it he thought it was a new Ducati.

Think about the new bike.

Think about who's buying it.

Think about undocumented or poorly documented maintenance requirements of Rockets (shaft splines, ISCV adjustment, cam chain tensioner intervals, coil wire crimping, etc).

Can you mentally picture the 30-40 demographic it clearly targets working on the bike?

Think about how much money Triumph are about to make on maintenance haha.

I'm in that age range and do my own maintenance.
(No comment from scotsmen)

I do as well (obviously lol), but, probably 9/10 riders I know don't. In my experience, the R3 community has an unusually high number of people willing to wrench on their own bikes (be it from age, knowledge, confidence, R3owners, or lack of good mechanics), in particular among the sportibke crowd, and lets face it, they're clearly trying to attract some of them with the new R3R/R3GT.

I see a lot of people who don't even know how to adjust their own chain, so instead of learning, and instead of paying (because money is too tight paying for netflix+, disney+, att tv+ on 5G phones etc) they just let it suffer and rot. Makes me sad :(

worryingly the new GT is starting to take hold of me!!! Not sure what the draw is but something is making me twitch!!! Is anyone else having the slow burn!

Know what you mean but I need to see the ‘scale’ ( still looks small with rider perched on top) in the flesh 1st.

Ya know what...scratch that...My Rocket still makes me grin lovingly every single time I cast eyes on it...NO I’m not going to feel hard done by not moving to the new model...lol

Yes I like its look but I'm smaller then the fellers they have posted on them I'm thinking GT with R foot peg placement. I to need to throw my leg over one first. And I want to know the final gear ratios to see if the sixth gear is a benifit or if they are just making me shift more.

Funny you say that...I had the Tbird storm and that as exactly what that bike makes you do.

I've always done my own chain adjustments on my Rocket. It's not that hard.
