Ive got a 2005 rocket3 which has just turned 5000 miles. Recently I have noticed a slightly vibration through the bike when on rides. Given all the chat about the bearing problems, is this how it manifests itself? if not, how?

Also, does anyone have the upgrade kit parts list? or a scan of the official document? I bought the bike from a Triumph dealer in the UK and still have some dealer warranty left so want it in before Triumph UK tell me to go f*ck myself.

Leigh,
When my output shaft bearing went,
it started at a gas stop.
Fine when I pulled in,
getting ready to leave I heard what I thought was the rear brake dragging.
Thats what mine sounded like.
Your problem sounds more like a bearing in the neck to me.

Thought similar to Skip's comment when my front wheel bearings went on the FJR last week, sounded like front pads metal on metal!

DangerousDave might be able to give his recent account...

Leigh - I've had two Rockets and they both have a pronounced background vibration between 2000 and 2500 rpm, mostly noticeable in top gear. It worried me on my first Rocket, but the current one also has it, virtually from day 1. It may just be a feature.

Good luck.

Z
