I have ridden most of Australia, east to west and back and south to north, lap of Tasmania included. Doing east to west and back again in a couple of months. I love my '04 standard but .... Seat by "Metcruise" is lower and dished more at the back with a softer bit for my coccyx. I do put the "Air Hawk" on and off according to how my behind feels.
Foot boards were a must to move my feet around. "Thunderbars" sit me up a bit more. "Secdom" screen is just perfect and lays back a bit more than most. MC Cruise has extended my riding life for years as I can rest and flex my hands and wrists. Bicycle Biddon mount - necessary hydration. Detachable H&B Bags are great but
@Ishrub gave me a pair of bag liners which are simply the best. Music has been by Iphone and Sharktooth but I have just bought a Garmen Zumo which doesn't mate to Sharktooth so I guess Ill just get a cheap Scala or something. I'm finding Sat Nav is becoming more necessary when I go near cities. Headers and exhaust by Paul Bryant coupled with Ramair and Tune gives great range (and fun). Last but not least .... The Darkside. The last time I was in Perth, the three other riders I was with went and got new tyres ...... I went to the Pub
Conclusion ...... the Rocket is the best bike I have owned, simple in its approach and incredibly functional. Great for silly blasts and fit for purpose for long rides with the only drawback being that someone will always want to talk about their old Triumph they had 40 years ago ......... I usually answer "I've still got mine ...... and this one".
