I have no explanation then

Tis very flimsy and thin.
Needs much care in correct placement and in placement of the cover.
My OEM was re-used and sealed perfect. However, I did have a new replacement gasket at hand just in case.

I've been compared to the South end of a horse going North ! As for stretching it, I've been doing that for years but it hasn't helped

I have you all beat. When I was a younger it was a sheet of gasket material from the auto store. I use to cut all my own gaskets for my Ariel and my Norton. Permatex was all we had...the hardening and non hardening kind. Clutch cover, gearbox cover, timing chain covers were all done by hand. Heck...I didn't even know they had gaskets already made. Good times!

If your asking me, it is unlikely. Once I get the Ramair on I am going to try one or more of the posted tunes. If I find one that performs well I will go with that...if not, I'll consider trying to find a dyno tuner. The question in my mind is...does the person really know what they are doing?

I'm still toying with an AFR gauge install. As long as I feel I'm in the safe zone with the AFR and it runs good, I would be happy.

Get a PCV/AT then you won't have to worry about it.

Thats a similar route to what I am doing, I am using a data logger for now and when done will install gauge.
Getting some interesting results, such as with 3 K&N's under stock Bear claw IAT running 30+ deg F warmer than ambient air. Hot air less power.
Will not run stock bear claw any more.

Nice weather for a change today, and it was time to take the bike out for more than a spin around the block.

NoVA route

Right at 150 miles, right at three hours.

Bike ran like a champ.

Weather is supposed to hold for several more days, so the visit to the tuner is looking good for Tuesday.

I still get that little 1,750 RPM on start up, with dip a couple of times, before settling down.

And every stop sign and stop light, the idle returned to normal.

I'm really liking this.
