Insta 360 camera setup for GT

Verrrry tidy mate. All those fittings probably cost more than the 360. Do you have a power supply to it? or just it's battery? How do you start & stop recording while riding?
I had an action cam hard wired into a previous bike, I could record a whole days ride on that set up. I'd use this on long trips, just download the card each night & go again the next day.

Very cool. I've got a much shorter arm on my handlebar. The advantage there is a view from the front of yourself while riding, in addition to the scenery, which of course is the main thing. Ideally, it'd be nice to be able to switch up and then edit to show both views.

I find that no matter what you do it still looks like you're only going 20 mph :)

I'm using the GoPro Max and editing in Premiere Pro- what are you using?

Totally just started with 360 (coming from gopro infrastructure). Bought mostly FANAUE brand from Amazon, super quality even over Ram. Prolly less that $100 in total. I do run power to the cam from a power bank to allow longer shootings. Hope to do all 8K recordings without overheating.

For now using the 360 Insta video editing suite. Will post some vids after something worthy of viewing comes along. For now, just dialing in the setup.

Nowadays, I generally just cut start and end position in the video and call it a day. As I make no $ from posting vids for friends only (or some random viewer), I feel like sinking time into editing is not the best time spent. I used Premier like 10-15 years ago to produce vids for $ (side hassle), you can sink days into perfecting a video. Today I'd rather ride. I make enough $ elsewhere. Time is what I value more nowadays.

PS: Really want to go to the Tail of the Dragon but I don't think I have the skills. Florida is so straight, I don't have cornering experience at all, everything here is so straight and leveled.

@A1A Rider - put Tail of the Dragon on your bucket list! I have driven it multiple times on bikes and in cars, and, I'll admit, it was a bit intimidating the first time I went (bike), but you get the hang of it after the first 10 or so turns...😬! After that, it is a breeze, BUT, even when you get comfortable with it you have to keep your guard up. There are, unfortunately, a lot of a$$hats that will not respect the road or other riders/drivers.

@Journeyman - great video!! Since I have never used an Insta360 or GoProMax, how do you turn the face of the camera like you were doing in the video? Is it on a gimbal, perhaps?

As @Einar said- it's all done in post processing at the computer. You can change the angle and field of view, etc.

Because of the overly confident (but under-skilled), under-skilled and terrified (because of the hype), and ever present law enforcement TOD is over rated, as most locals will tell you. If you've never been- go. Get a sticker and then move on to better rides all over in this area. The Snake would be my #1 recommendation, but there are so many....
