Inexperienced passengers and bad habits

my wife is still an excellent pillion!!!!

my 12 yr old motocross racing son on the other hand....not so much...he wants to ride his way so cornering and braking is a real ***** ...

my solution last tuesday was to let him ride my xs1100 solo ....he rode around our little town for 45 minutes...glad the cop wasnt in town!!!:sneaky:

My worst passenger was my brother. I told him not to shift around on the bike unless he told me in advance. Got off the highway and stopped at a light. Almost dropped the bike. I smacked his leg and said stop moving around, which he denied. Same thing next 3 lights. I told him one more time and he walks back 200 miles. This was on my Venture. Not sure I would want a "dude" on the back of the Rocket. Now my wife is a perfect rider. She falls asleep back there. She did ride years ago so she knows what to do. Too bad poor vision keeps her from riding.

@bill widrig The xs 1100 are nice bikes

My wife bless her really tries to be a good pillio and really is fantastic nowadays. Back when she first got on with me, after shed not been pillion for about 15 years, she nearly did everything right!!

What she forgot though left me permanently mentally traumatized. Coming to a red light, the ass in the work truck in front of me slows normally to 10 mph then without warning slams on his brakes for no reason well before the line. We are on my '02 955i 'tona, thankfully because it has brakes like hitting a brick wall when you really need them. I grab pretty hard and then it happens...130lb of soft lady com slamming Intl my back, as a result, I of course slide forward.... right into the tank resulting in two bruised "eggs" shall we say.

She now holds onto the tank and braces for stops. Couple weeks ago I even caught her back there hanging off nearly as far as I was while hauling ass on some corners (like 95mph in a 35, must have made her feel the need to help me turn Lol).
