Inexpensive Starter Replacement

@nolton Thanks mate, much appreciated, but mine is still working fine so I won't upset the Karma just yet.
Ill keep you in mind for the future though thanks. Always handy to have an US address to ship through for USA only purchases.

Get a group sale together and it will be something you mates can have as a backup.

Well looks like we may have at least 2 local takers if @The Kiwi is keen. Time to flog a response from @Turk who should be emerging from his winter hibernation shortly

Good morning Paul,

Have you installed yours yet? I'm looking at buying the 1.4 Kw myself as I am tired of not riding on cool mornings...

I have not. Just waiting for the mood to strike.

Let us know Joe.

I also got the case of the Click Click blues. New battery,,, better but not cured. Ordered the RepairkitsUK. Found a spare motor to learn how to service it. Are there any O rings or gaskets that go wit this service? In my bike it looks like pipes and cat delete have to come off first. The power cable is on the top of the solenoid. Is this the case?

I just used all the parts from the Toyota starter that fit, the pitting inside the starter was bad! Reused the o ring, no leaks and now the starter spins like crazy and I'm still on the original battery. Have not had the dreaded click since.

I bet you could replace the parts without removing the starter? Worth a try I think!
