I'm dreaming of an 8 gallon tank...

I got one of these - it sucks because the nozzle is so small it pukes back into your face when filling at the pump!
YEP with all the traveling IVE done your correct the only way to do it

NT is easy, heaps of fuel stops - all have 98 octane. Only problem I ever had was Tennant Creek to Broome passed two Servo's as they only had 92. Ran dry in sight of the first big servo in Broome, a mate on a roadking helped me out .... oh the shame.

I thought it wouldn't be a problem for us 'older' gents with a 'dribble' rather than a 'fire hydrant'
Point taken though and I will fill mine from another jerry can and leave it in my luggage except for a 6 monthly fuel refresh. At least pouring into the tank will not be a problem without a funnel that those larger outlet jerrys can be. I will just leave this one with the bike always as an emergency supply and carry a 5 litre jerry on long distance trips.

If you do that it will work cool!

Short term solution. Ima try this for the 3 sisters trip this week.
I found this at Academy for $15.99 - The bottle is a thick, hard plastic - I squeezed as hard as I could & it would not collapse but just a tiny bit with the lid on tight. It has a really good seal & holds 1.5 litre - They had 1.0 litre for $12.99 - The brand is "Nathan"

It has a good pour spout & the tip that my pen points to is a high quality rubber for a good seal

The main lid has a rubber O-ring seal & I filled 1/2 full and laid it on its side since this morning..... No leaks at all

We will see how it does this week - TBC........................

Are you asking me or 1olbull????

The orange spun aluminium bottle is mine and yes I can use for fuel or just to drain these two 2 litre Chinese 2 stroke bicycle conversion fuel tanks fitted to my leather topcase lid with a 2metre gravity feed fuel line I can deploy to the main tank filler or fill the orange fuel bottle.

They look like they would bolt up to the top of the rear tipover bars,

HEY and the ROCK SOLID RULE is the most efficient riders get about 30 % better fuel economy and tire life compared to the least efficient riders
