Here are the specs. for the all new Indian.:)

Just found out the Indian Test Ride truck will be at Sloan's- Mufreesboro, TN 9/19-9/20 offering free test rides. I am going to shoot for 9/20.

Indian chieftain

I will be too, but IM keeping my touring also because it is the most comfortable bike for trips..:p

The Indian will be in late Sept here in my area, called today, if I drive I will probally customize and buy one !!!!!;)

I don't like what everyone else has LOL...:D

I'm not interested at all in the "new" Indian but keep in mind that there may be some bugs on it's initial release and probably will be a better buy the second year of production.

I have serious doubts as to how long it will be available...it is expensive and Indian does not have a great reputation for sticking around very long in any of it's previous modern reincarnations. The fact that Polaris is now behind may give it a better than even shot...but I think the price will be it's undoing and it is going to be going directly against Harley which is fighting tooth and nail to stay relevant by unleashing it's dual cooling engine (heads only) and a not too bad looking stereo system with touch screen...too bad it only comes with a 25 watt per channel amp (the Gold Wing comes to the show with an 80 watt per channel set up).

We are getting lot's of choices nowadays but I'm sticking with Triumph and will adapt it to my needs.

As I said in another post, after having sat on, and looked at this thing in person I'm looking forward to riding mine home in Feb.

Order is confirmed and funny thing is, i told a few mates that they were in store, of the 4 blokes who've gone in all have placed an order.

Thats 5 less CVO streetglides on the road. I think Triumph ought to make a real tourer like this. As Ive been saying for years, I'd buy one. $36k plus bits could have gone to Triumph 5 times from me and my mates this week had they have listened.

And before you ask, no my rocket is not for sale and wont be for a long while. When it is there are a few mates waiting for it.

Had a squiz at the Indians after we spoke mate ... didn't really do it for me to be honest. Guess riding ones the go ... as far as their 'being around long term' Reckon Polaris be as good as any company to guarantee the success of the brand.

yeah, i reckon polaris will make them work.

I could be tempted onto one for a (real) big ride but I reckon the first time I went to pass a long stream of traffic I'd be cursing I wasn't on the Rocket. I'll buy one when Mitch does. ;)

I test rode an Indian Chieftain twice and I liked the electric screen and the cruise/radio stuff, but it felt like a scooter after owning a Rocket Touring. The new 2015s have trunks and are two-tone but are over $26K US.

I actually liked the Victory CCT better. Both test bikes had lots of rattles though. One Victory ran very rich and I could smell the gas-- kind of chugged at low rpm.

Not a rattle on my Rocket. I am just about to 6K on the R3T and the engine seems smoother and the bike feels like it's breaking in nicely.
