I'm pretty sure he bought the bike used. It makes no difference, however, the warranty is transferrable. It's my understanding he can't clearly show (to Triumph's satisfaction) the service history. That's horse crap, IMO. There's only one service scheduled on a 3000 mile bike and that was the 500 mile service. Additionally, a freaking clutch shouldn't break in 3000 miles regardless. Hell, mine failed at 5600 and that's ridiculous as far as I'm concerned. They fixed mine, however. I think there's more to the story than what's being communicated. Additionally, if the story being told is correct, then I'm inclined to think the dealer is up to no good. But agreed, something just doesn't add up about this.
