I just got done driving 800 miles from Chicago to Herndon, VA. 2007 Classic. Performed flawlessly until I just now went to start it to put it on a parking spot.

Turned the key to on, dash lights came on like normal, put the kickstand up. Dash lights went off, I have no power at all now.

I'm about to weep. Please advise.

Edit: It's definitely the ignition switch, it's at MoD in VA, I'm back in Chicagoland. Keyless ordered, riding it home in a month is next.

Edit edit: It wasn't the ignition switch, but it was the ignition circuit. Someone before me had had all the fuses out, and put them in the wrong way. There was a 5A fuse in the 20A ignition/headlight spot. MoD fixed it, I've ridden it home without incident.

First thing I'd check is the battery posts. Mine seem to get loose for no reason.

Battery is solid, I don't see any burnt fuses either.

I'm gonna take a wild guess at ignition switch.

Who works on Triumphs in Northern VA?

Don't I wish it was the kill switch, I actually had the presence of mind to flip that back and forth in the moment of panic. :(

You get nothing now, not even the fuel pump priming? If not, and the batteries connections are good, definitely the ignition switch.

You can hotwire it if you're stranded.

He said when he put the kickstand up, just wondering, if a bad kickstand switch could do that, I don't know how it's set up.

I think the kickstand is a red herring, the electrics didn't quit at exactly the same time - and I know the dash will still light up with the stand down, too.

Nothing at all, no electrics of any kind. I'm not stranded, it did get me to the hotel, so at least there's that. If you could point me to how to hot wire, I would much appreciate it. I'll drive it back home on Wednesday that way if I have to.
