Had the Altimax HP mounted this morning and rode some of the curviest roads I could find and could not tell the difference except where there were grooves and even then it was minimal. If I even get 20K out of this tire I will never go back to an AVON, Metz, or Dunlop.

I only got 18,000klm's out of the last DS but that's better than 6,000 klm's out of the metz

I have an avon cobra that has 12k miles on it, I went ahead and ordered another one for now. Some of my friends with goldwings are running dunlop 404s, I have been told they are bias ply tires that are running high mileage.

MY avon venom had 9k+ o it but it looked like a drag slick.

I am running a Raptor on the rear as well. Just put on a Dunlop elite 3 on the front and it handles just as well as the metz. 130 for the Dunlop and 207 for the metz.
The Dunlop is supposed to get twice the mileage as the metz.

i've got the Dunlop 404 on front myself.
A real good tire, I got mine after TDragger had good results with his.
i'm very pleased with it.
