I Need more power

Thanks guys.
The bike already has the decat and secondaries open to 100% with tune ECU.
Already looking at the ramair setup and looking what route I want to go with the exhaust setup.
Now with the end result, thats my problem. When I was in the car scene I had a nice little mr2 that I felt like a bit more power so I modified it and it satisfied me for a while, then I got bored and took it all off and did new mods. Ok for a while but not enough, so I ripped the engine out and pout a v6 in. Then after all that I still wanted to chase more power.

I'm the same with my bikes, I start with little increases, then end up wanting more. Silly me even thought the rocket would be enough, but less than one year on I'm chasing more power.

I don't actually mind starting small then ripping everything off to start again. Keeps me busy and entertained.

I do however think in the real world. I don't need more top end, theres just nowhere I can use it so I'll be looking to increase low down and mid range power.

There are a few of us rocket owners locally, one actually has a supercharged version while the other is mostly stock with aftermarket pipes, removed secondaries and a power commander. funny enough my stock pipes are louder than the modified ones, is that normal or could someone have messed with the stock pipes at some point?

I'm not new to modifying and am pretty handy with the tools. I used to own a shop in the uk where I tuned *** cars and swapped engines. and if the rocket is off the road for a while I have a couple other bikes to ride if I feel the need.

I have no doubt it will be a long term project but at this stage I just want to get ideas and let my mind run wild until it goes yep.... thats what I want. lol
Look underneath your pipes for a sticker that says for off road use only. If so those are TORS your sporting for pipes not stock.

The bike currently has stock pipes with a decant pipe and that's pretty much it.
Using tuneecu I used a map that opens the secondaries and it feels more responsive but not by enough.
I'm thinking of a ramair setup and aftermarket pipes when funds allow but eventually I want to supercharge or turbo
I've seen some of the kits but fancy build in my own.
What else can I do in the meantime to satisfy my hunger for power
I have a decent set of stainless high flow twin cans with a catless crossover.

Price drop $600 + postage
For Sale - R3R Stainless exhaust, big bore, cat free, high flow. X pipes back

Get a set of Unifilters or RamAir pods (cheapest)
RamAir 62mm dia pods - a bargain?

and an extension for your air temp sensor to relocate near filters on throttle body. Easiest to arrange is the RamAir R3 kit with the extension in it from RamAir on eBay in the UK they ship free worldwide and accept offers.

RAMAIR Air Box Elimination Performance Air Filter Kit for Triumph Rocket III 3 692761780828 | eBay

Once free flow in 'n out, and a free download from the forums here and you should be able to get 135-140 RWHP with the stock header and another 15-20 with a custom tuned header and a dyno tune.

You should take a knee and look at your pipes. I am betting they are TORS. It does not make sense to me that someone would decat the bike and not change the exhaust. As stated earlier you will find For Off Road Use Only on the pipes.

If that is a fact then

You can open up the intake and put a tune in the bike that should give you a boost.

Not quite sure I understand low end an mid range power. I have to roll on the power My front end gets real lite real quick.

On the other hand I am not drag strip guy. Sure there are others that have better advice than me.

@Steevepaff

From your response I can deduce 2 things;
1) You found the right forum to join :roll:

2) At some point there's going to be boost involved.

Go ahead and contact TTS and get the blower and intercooler in the post. That will get the party started. That should last for a while until you decide, I need to overdrive the huffer for more boost which will work for a bit. Then maybe just a little more boost until the head gets chucked off the top. Then you can crate the whole engine up and ship it to Lushy for cams,pistons, head work and block studs.

Told ya we love spending others money.
You're welcome! :thumbsup:

There is an Irish fella on here that I don't remember his screen name at the moment who has a step by step history of his install

@Claviger Rob what's the guy's handle from Ireland that you were talking stroker motor builds with?
