Subscribing to thread. I be doing exact thing in a few months.
That being said, I seem to remember my previous research indicated swapping tunes is battery intensive ( don't know if time or something else). I seem to remember the recommendation was to unplug the headlight and leave battery on charger. Hopefully someone more familiar with the process can chime in.
Do the pain-meds for the hand dull frustration also?
Turned everything off
went and had a beer and some food
Back to the garage. went over the solder joints.
Hooked everything up.
connected
Loaded new file.
Time for a test ride.
Test ride went great.
Heat is gone and the performance is up.
Bobby is a happy guy.
The only thing I did different the second time was I plugged my computer into a power source instead of running off the battery?

You are correct I did remove the fuse for the headlight and put the battery on my battery tender.
I have been into tuneecu 4 or 5 times on my bike without any issues. Today was one of those days.
I do not know if plugging the power supply into the computer was the answer, but it worked the second time around.
I'll be doing that exact thing after I fix brakes on 03 F350, change A/C compressor in Marquis#1, change radiator in Marquis#2, finish fuel tank in R1100RT, service baler, cutter and rake and roll hay on my place .........
