When I was a little tyke, my family (with me) moved from England to OZ. Approximately 30 years later I forsook allegiance to the Queen of England in order to swear allegiance to Queen Elizabeth II, and her heirs and successors, in order to become an Aussie.

Well, after nearly 18 years in the USofA, I forswore all prior allegiances and became a Yank.

The States have been good to me, and I have met a lot of wonderful people in my time here - many of them through the Rocket community. So now I get to say God bless America! but will also say because of my own beliefs, America bless God!

Congratulations!!

HOW KEWL IS THAT!?!?!
Congratulations and welcome, Amigo! This is a HUGE accomplishment for you!
You are a more than welcome addition and credit to this country, which is fortunate to now have you as a citizen!
Additionally you for sure now know way MORE than 75% of the born and bred Americans do about how their REPUBLIC government works!

A few years ago when my green card was about to expire I seriously considered going for my citizenship my kids were pushing me to go for it after all I have only been in this country 32years, the only sticking point that I have and it may sound silly to some but 42 years ago when I joined the army I took an oath my oath was to the Queen when she passes on I will go for my citizenship but until that day I could not in good faith swear to protect against all enemies foreign and domestic.
Congrats Ian a proud and noble day for you, i will join the ranks one day.
