Wow mate that would be hard!! Condolences to you and his family, at 71 he had a fair innings but many more to go unfortunately remember the good times and the fun times, you got the funeral and then make sure you have people around you don't isolate yourself,

50 years is a long time for a friendship and you will have some days harder than others, as time goes by ya don't heal from the hurt but you do learn to deal with it better, When I lost a best mate I liked to ride a lot of roads we went on together and just talk out loud as ya ride as if he is with you.
