Hi! Installed K&Ns last spring. Question about air temp sensor, what to be expected if left under tank without it being in airflow?

It took me all of 10 minutes to install the IAS in the top of the KN filter. Then a little bit more time to solder longer wires so they would reach the IAS. It really isn't anything to it.

I am extremely happy with it. The bike hasn't been placed on a dyno to get more out of it but I'm not worried about it because it does well enough now.

So when all this is said and done it gives the Rocket MUCH more power and torque.? How is it on long trips? Sure its faster. I would imagine that it would just as reliable. any added fuel economy? Oh yea this is coming from some one who has never smoked a tire.

I wouldnt worry too much about the fuel economy it is still good
and judging by another blokes results the triple filters seemed to add around 10-11 hp
alone

Just ordered 3x ru2780 and airtemp filter. Ended up ordering from America, what a joke about prices here in Oz. Was going to cost me $215 for the 4 here, will be $117 from America delivered. I already have pods from tuneboy but want to show a bit more of the motor, K&N look better. Cheers to all the postings with the parts

Is there a effect on this sensor when the air box is not used?
