Ok, I'm about to pull the trigger on a set of K&Ns but not if they let that much dirt in. So I'd like to hear more reviews on how good they function and if the people that have them have checked to see if they are letting dirt by (finger test)
Been running K&Ns for 13,000 miles on my Rocket and 75,000 on my F150. No problems. Plus the millions of others who run them, just need to know how to oil them correctly.
I do automotive applications too. Cold air Intakes, the whole none yards. Just got a cold air intake for a 2008 F350. 15 horse increase on the stock Powerstroke. I have K&N's in everything including my lawnmower.
If anyone wants filters mot listed on the website, shoot me an e-mail at sales@flipmeisters.com with the make, model of vehicle and what K&N product you want and I'll give you a price, which, like the prices on the R3 filters, will be excellent.
I'm full line but it would take a hundred pages to list them all.

I'd say my MTD 60" tank zero turn lawnmower is a better test of dirt ingestion and it always passes the 'finger' test. I do have to clean and re-oil the filter 3 times a year.
My '97 F350 turbo diesel has had a K&N since new and the intake has never had any dirt. dust film inside. I applied a coating of PAM on the inside of the piping to the cold side of the turbo and the piping is black inside. Never any dust inside.
It's a straight shot from the throttle bore to the intake valve so when the engine is warm and shut down, a little vapor comes back out the bore, and out the filters.
I just like stickers ... LOL
If you don't follow the instructions and oil them properly, they don't catch the fine dust. If you aren't into maintenance then don't get them, they were made to last forever and breath better than paper or cotton disposable filters ... they require periodic attention. Some hear "lifetime" and think they will last forever without cleaning them ... well, they don't. Like flip I use them on everything, they work for me.
