I'm so stoked that there are guys that think like me. I am looking at pulling tandem trailers. Here is a pic of a friend of mine in Tennessee that had a hearse made to pull. Notice the Harbor Freight modified trailer as the dolly. He said he got her up around 90mph and no issues.

Here is a hearse used for motorcycle funerals. I should have gotten a picture of the guy towing it, he was dressed up like an old time mortician. He goes all over the State of Michigan.

OK - My question.

How much weight do you think you can brake going downhill at the legal limit before the tyres loose adhesion?. Or for example if you have to slam the anchors on because a child/dog/cow/deer runs out in front of you.

If you ride in the wet - then this factor matters too.

I've towed over 4 tonnes with the Land Rover - but a BRAKED trailer.

Load a 750kg unbraked trailer and do an emergency brake, It can jackknife a 2.25 tonne 4WD or simply push you forward, depending on trailer load distribution.

I don't know - but I know that fully loaded with passenger and all 3 cases full - you can feel the brakes trying harder to keep up.

I may be dumb but I do not see the need.
Plus I like cornering fast way too much.

There is a company in Tennessee that makes that rig. They trike a road king and set it up like a 5th wheel towing the trailer.

Mine was homemade ,the ones you buy are too expensive.
Mine also stays on permanently. But if I wanted to remove it I could do it in about a half hour.

What Trailer?

My Camper weighs in at closer to 500kg (900+lb) (no brakes fitted as yet) have towed it some major miles (approx 40,000km) I keep about 15% on tongue and have no issues you have to be aware that you cant just plough into corners as you would with out a trailer and always allow plenty of braking distance and use your gearbox and engine braking on going down Mtn passes not your brakes so much and you should have no issues

What trailer do you tow? Do you have pictures?

This is the trailer I was thinking about, the Gidget... It's about 800 lb. empty, so I'm guessing about 900lbs.
