How can I ever trust my r3t?

I don't think (or at least hope not) that they are lying; I would not even use the term incompetent - but clearly do not have the expertise to adequately diagnose the problem

Forget about final inspection - the only possible alternative harness that could even remotely be used would be a Roadster - & that would immediately be obvious to the assembler putting it together when other parts don't interconnect (instruments, lights)
As for wrong colour wires that doesn't sound realistic either - all the circuits use pretty much same colours, even on other triumph models so saying they don't ID correctly just reinforces for me he is not looking at the correct components - & HIGHLY suspect he is mis-ID'ing the turn relay (which doesn't exist)
That is why I simply cannot believe it has the wrong harness in there.

Tommy boy - to best of your recollection did the left turn work during initial rides?

P.s. send ticket :D

Yes they do lie through their teeth. When it came time to replace my back tire and I found all the stripped out nuts and bolts plus the rear axle so tight that it was unbelievable, I called the shop. Asked them what the hell happened. They responded with the comment that they had fired the tech who had worked on my bike and that there was not much they could do for me. New wheel bearings and axle plus most of the hardware on the pipes and rails which hold the passenger pegs on had to be replaced. Well I took a little ride out that way a few weeks after talking to them on the phone. Guess who was still working there? Incompetent is a understatement. They completely screwed up a simple tire replacement and I could just see them attempting to troubleshoot a electrical problem. Wire Harness my ass. I may also add that they advertized back in 2015 that they had a Rocket X for sale. I called asking about the bike and was told it was sold already. The bike was advertized on there web site as being in stock for three months after the phone call. Bait and switch game to the max. While waiting four hours in there showroom I heard Many a salesman just flat out lie to customers about performance and reliability of some of the bikes that they sell. I had a hard time keeping my mouth shut. This place is going to get someone hurt or killed from there INCOMPETENT WORK AND ETHICS.

Just for fun, I googled to find the dealer and the reviews published about the dealer. The reviews suggest that the dealer is highly regarded.

The bike sounds like one of the so-called auction bikes, sold as a used bike by a non-Triumph dealer, with virtually no miles on the clock. This should not be an issue because there is a factory warranty.

The problem here may be the usual resentment of an authorized dealer to troubleshoot an electrical problem on a bike where they made no money to begin with.

Warranty labor reimbursement from the factory for trouble shooting is very low. Flat rate repair for a simple problem is also reimbursed at a low rate.

So you may be the victim of a dealership that already knows that you will travel to save on the original buy, and they may just be leaving your bike on the back burner until they don't have enough other work to keep people busy. I'd make sure that Triumph's USA importer is helping them stay focused .

FWIW, once the repair has been correctly diagnosed and repaired, the bike should be a joy.

It's only two weeks to the end of the month. That's not too much longer to wait. I don't think their diagnosis makes any sense. But if it ends well, you can chalk this experience up to tuition.

Best of luck. Please let us know how it turns out.

Sounds like your yer chosen dealer is an ass !!! I've said it before, the guys on this site are the best triumph techs available. I'd be gettin more than a bit pissed off if this was my bike.:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Tell me it is not so, A bad Motorcycle shop in OKLAHOMA. They all get such great reviews and all are highly regarded. The only motorcycle shop I have ever been to in Oklahoma that was worth anything was Performance cycle in bethany. They lost there dealership with Truimph but had some of the best mechanics in the state.

Not to worry, sonny! Trump says he will fix that..

"Believe me. I'm gonna' build a huuuge dealership, make Oklahoma great again for American bikers (Harleys only) and Texas is going to pay for it. Believe me." DJT in his upcoming inaugural speech, 2 days hence.
