Well, this is weirdness, we are all Rocket owners and know that there is good bike in your future if it gets put back together right. If somehow putting a new harness in somehow makes it right, so be it, but like others I rather think this an exercise like swatting a fly with a sledgehammer. On the other hand, if this really is a bad harness, there have to be others out there....and that will be known before long I reckon. These are excellent bikes, and for the most part they are really overbuilt and very very durable. There can certainly be faulty assembly, but something of this degree should not get past final inspection. This is why most of us think something else went wrong. Electrical things can and do suffer infant death, and indeed that is the most common failure mode. If modern electrics last the first couple thousand miles, they are probably good for the duration. It's generally good to see electrical failures early for it's fair bet the repair will be a lasting one. But this.....this is unsettling. For whatever reason they want to rewire the whole thing, we hope it's a good repair.
