Find the Alarm connector bypass plug under the tank - cut the loop between the 1 & 2 terminals and connect your switch (via extensions) to each of the cut ends.
Locate your switch wherever you want - under seat probably.

I echo the disk-lock with motion detector actuated siren. (Xena)

I wouldn't say it warrants a death sentence, but being caught trespassing and having to stare down the business end of a .45 while waiting for the police to come may be enough to scare him straight. Even if no police are involved, a good serious scare by an armed homeowner may put him straight.

You may actually save his future!
