Hello,
My name is Louis and I just bought one of your incredible machine: a Rocket III 2009 with only 4000 km
I am French, 48 years hold and I leave in Luxembourg.
I find this motorbike exceptional and I would be happy to share this common passion with you.
But before I can fully enjoy it, I have to solve a potential problem of the oil non-return valve related to oil tank, because oil tank empties completely in the engine carter and it does not seem normal, I am afraid that the engine starts without oil pumped from the oil tank.

G'day and welcome.

The oil should stay in the tank, but sometime the valve leaks and the oil ends up in the sump. I haven't had the problem so I cannot tell you how much is involved in fixing it, but the manual will tell all.

bonjour louis et bienvenu sur le site j'ai eu le meme probleme sur ma r3 2006 le clapet ne se fermait plus et toute l'huile partait dans le carter pour ensuite resortir par le reniflard ne roule plus comme ca trop d'huile dans le carter gene le vilebrequin et l'embrayage
la reparation (changement de soupape de non retour n'est pas trop couteuse mais elle est necessaire croit moi. sur le site francais "KILDEROUGE "a beaucoup d'experience sur les R3 tu peux le contacter.
