help wanted
that's something I might look into if it.comes to a dead end ,
I'm trying to.find out if a ecu of a later or early bike with work. even if.it needs a tune up flashed into.it
 
my opinion on ecu
i would open a thread for someone to try my ecu
you have the two bolts for cover and two bolts for the ecu then two connectors then plug it in and start.
even if i had to pay.
i had a problem and tried another ecu (which didn't fix the prob) and also tried both of them on a buddies bike

allow me to clarify

i do not think that i am smarter than triumph corprate or have more know how
i am guessing that they will let it set till you get tired of waiting or quote you such a high price you won't let them fix it.
i have owned mine for about 11 years and have been viewing this web site for as long so a lot of my knowledge comes from this site and also working on the ecu systems on cars and trucks at my shop.
so i figure that i have the advantage on triumph because i don't know the words ( i can't)
you never gave the details of whats happen (which is fine) but it seems more than just replacing a part u have to do checking it out.
if triumph goes by the manual and checks parts with an ohms like manual says they will never fix it. i have made my own checking values and ckeck with voltage.
also i look at it that checking is not a waste of time when you find the problem you fell great satisfaction and are well rewarded with knowledge.
i am hopeing that triumph does fix your problem. good luck
