In my experience, when things go on and off on a vehicle it usually points to a bad earth or connection somewhere. Faults like this would require a methodical approach and no assumptions must be made. I’d start with the headlights themselves. If you don’t have the original headlight bulbs, go buy some cheap ones and use them and see if the fault is still there.
Check all your earth connections whilst you are about it too.
Not sure if you have a remote start system (Decosse or other) so there could be something there that could be causing it too.
Also, have you worked on the bike prior to this happening? I should have asked this first..

My worse nightmare. Already clearly stated no changes to bikes electrical system other than led headlights and led turn signals. Over 50,000 mile ago. Yes i worked on the bike but that was over 5,000 mile ago. Problem is recent and follows no reason other than **** ass wiring by truimph. God **** i give up.

Hi Sonny sorry I did not see this post before now.
When I first got my Rocket I don't ride much at night anyways the poor excuse we call a motorway us only a few miles from home.
So one night u thought bugger it I'm gonna go for a hoon up and down it like I said poor excuse it's about 15 miles combined.
As head back home on a darker road the lights kept flicking off and on when a speed up they stayed on but really not good for doing a 100mph rest the way home.
Got home looked up the manual pulled the right hand side cover found the relay was half out pushed it back in place lights been going good since.
And to make sure that they dont move used zip lock ties to hold it down.
Just my experience.
And remember Sonny we all live around the world with different time zones.

Am just completely irritated. Got a deal worked out with Yamaha star. Ain't joking. Looking at a 2020 Star Venture Transcontinental. Fully loaded and proven track record for being one of the best for reliability. Just take a look at their ads for the bike. They don't start out with Milliners with sharp dressed beards and all the crap. They start out with millage achieved on previous bikes with season riders. Then they Bragg about their new bike. Sharp. ****ing **** brought a tear to my eyes. Nice bike and reliable. **** this ****

Its got to be a simple earth connection fault Sonny because you have replaced the relay.My way of thinking is its vibration causing the earth to shake and cause this. Check the wiring where it comes out of the headlight housing...its in a difficult position but a man of your skill will find a way.
Its a bit like casting a line for fish...dont start by chucking your bait way out there...fish your feet first!...in other words, check the easy,logical stuff first....good hunting M8.

....i think he is trying to help you Sonny...just hasnt been on the computer maybe...if its the second relay its an easy fix...wont cost you a new bike!!...and a belt driven one at that!!

Gave a pretty good description of problem. Responded back after after questions were asked to the best of my ability. Have no clue were second relay is at.
