Headlight problem is back.

So insulting and berating people that are trying to help you is very childish!
I hope the Yamaha blog people are up to your standards of being insulting and impatient towards people that are trying to help you!
Enjoy your new bike!

sonny, I know it can be very frustrating chasing down some of the electrical issues, I spent night after night working through the helpful suggestions and guidance from the members on this forum. Anyway I started at the ECU by disconnecting the two large connecting plugs (black & grey I think)from the ECU and discovered quite a bit of corrosion inside them, thought this is the cause of my problem, gave the plugs a real good clean reassembled but it did not fix my problems.
Next step, I disconnected the large main plug under the tank, gave it a good clean out, reconnected and the bike was all back to normal. Then a short time after the starter would not even click, the instruments would sweep but not a click or anything when I pressed the starter button. So I removed the clutch switch, pulled the cover back and gave the switch a clean out, refitted, now the bike is 100% back to normal.
Hope this helps.

Good morning sonny, hey after reading post I believe @DEcosse probably has you started on fixing and @phar2slo both pointed to the other relay as a issue to check, i think the other 2nd headlight relay is on the right side under ecm cover, also you stated you had replaced a switch cubicle a while back, take apart the other and look for corrosion as decosse had worked his way to helping another guy with a similar situation. If it’s not the other relay that you didn’t replace I hope it’s in the switch so you can get it strait before you sell or trade in and they ding you heavily for that. Hope this helps I believe those guys are on target

It's funny, every time I research an electrical issue, even on a non Triumph, there's DeCosse on a forum, he's a really busy guy, lol.
And good, he’s worked out a couple issues for me, it’s methodical work that has to be step worked and tracked down by electrical schematic with voltage, mini voltage along trail to find issue sometimes

Echoing what Jag said.
Sonny, do really think that the entire membership is sitting around at 1:30 am waiting for you to ask tech questions about your X that they can give you a one sentence answer that will fix all electrical gremlins on the very first reply????????
And you're going to cuss out the people that give you a reply that you can start searching out the gremlins with, possibly fixing it, or possibly just getting you started down the path to finding it. You being the magnifcent mechanic that you've made clear to everyone that you are, you should know that electrical problems sometimes have to be chased through the maze of problems that they can be & not just a instant solve.
Man! I just don't get you
I just don't even have the ability to get THAT drunk

Um, he likes a drink now and then, I'm sure he feels better today, but I doubt he'll get much help from Ken now.
