@Bedifferent I had atrial fibrillation for years. I went into fibrillation one time and after the pills got me back into regular sinus rhythm a blood clot caused me to go blind in one eye. My wife was in bed already so I woke her up and told her I thought I was having a stroke. Sweetheart that she is she pulled the covers over her head and said," **** off, I have to go to work in the morning" That's when I knew my marriage was in trouble. I called 911 myself and got the proper treatment and the rest is history. I had an ablation performed a couple of years ago when my Afib increased in frequency and it was successful the first time. I was told 75% success first time 95% second time but I was lucky. At my last checkup I was told I have the heart function of a 29 yr old which can only be good. See you in one week
Coincidentally my Afib was worse as a bike trip approached and I missed a couple because of this. I think it was aggravated by adrenalin. I once rode home from a Maggie Valley trip in fibrillation and went straight to the hospital on my arrival in home in Canada. No worries now and I am off all heart meds and blood thinners. I only take a baby aspririn a day now.
I hope it works out as well for you and you have no more incidents.
