Head count for RAA - Wytheville VA 2017

Hello Guys

Something must be wrong......

I drained the fuel tank.....added 3 oz of 108 octane boost. charged the old Odyssey PC 545 battery on 2 amps for about 4-5 days

added 2 gal. of of 91 octane gas. With the tank still not bolted down I rocked it back and forth for 3 min. or more

I turned on the start switch then mashed the starter button. The engine made about 3 to 4 revolutions...............

That Old Girl Started right up just like it was ran yesterday.:eek::eek::eek: I have never been this lucky in my life

Never let it go above 2K rpms and sat there and idled nice and smooth for 10 min. until fan kicked in.

I think I will go and buy a lottery ticket:D:D:D:D:D:D

Hey bud! You are wrong. Go stand in front of the mirror and lift your shirt and realize you are quite lucky.
Oh and happy Fathers Day :D

You absolutely put me in my place just now...........You are 100% right about that

That scar will remind me just how lucky I am.....When my heart doctor found out how long I was in surgery .....8 hours +. His exact words was he was very surprised that my heart was able to stand being under for that long. He said that he had been worried about the 5 hrs. that it should have taken.

Heck...I thought if I was a sleep I was resting.......

I did spend 5 days in the ICU in 2004 to get stents to open the blockages I had.......That is 13 yr. old stents

But I am very happy that my old Rocket came back to life ......I will be very easy on her just to make sure all that time did not hurt anything.......Vacuum lines ,Brakes and front seals shocks

Also be easy on yourself as even though you look and feel good. The muscles still have to heal and build up strength. You do not want to pull anything. Of course ride her just maybe not smash the throttle a lot and run her thru her paces - she will appreciate it. Oh and watch your brakes - they too have been sitting a wee bit and might be sticky. Check rear end lube level and do not over tighten the plugs especially the drain plug. And wipe that grin off your face and say howdy to the wifey for me :D

That's good stuff Fletch. If you need a wingman on your first trip out give me a heads up, be more than happy to go with you.

I will try to be easy......just not sure about the heat...But those 113 staples down my belly sure has made my legs work again

Walked a mile.................much better than the 150 feet that would put me on the ground.

Seems like I am not the only who has not been able to ride in 2 or more years.

Also looking forward to seeing Miss Wendy again, Plus all the other great guys that will be there

One thing about it......The Rocket or the Ol' Powerstroke should get me there.

Scott My young bride said to tell you she had a great time while you were here.
