Head count for raa east 2018

This will serve as a true test of rain gear. Looks like I'll be riding 8-hours in steady rain. Frogg Toggs over my First Gear outfit.

There’s has been an unsubstantiated sighting of a Gay, liberal, pot smoking, hippie with a limp and a lisp from California leaving Tucumcari NM and heading to Shawnee OK on a Native American motorcycle, with a papoose on the back..... I’ll keep you posted if I learn more......

looking at that food, i'm hungry already, I won't be bringing beer, but if there is interest I can bring a bottle of Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye (voted best rye in 2016), Crown Royal Apple rye (good on its own, or mixed with ginger ale, tastes like carbonated apple juice and goes down fast) and Crown Royal Maple (haven't tried this one yet, but everyone says it is really good)

a couple of questions,
- Is anyone leaving from Ontario, or just over the boarder in Niagara, Erie, on Thursday morning, or am I tripping solo,

- also for anyone who has a touring, do any of you have the chrome ring that holds the spot light in place (ones next to the headlight) one of mine fell off the other day and has some nice dents in it now, and amazingly the light didn't break, but if someone has a spare they want to sell, that would be awesome.

- Lastly (i'm just putting it here as this thread seems to have garnered a lot of attention), I have a set up progressive springs to go in the front, if I leave the fork tubes in the bike, and take the cap off, and pull the spring, swap the oil and put the spring back in, how hard is it to compress the spring to get the cap back on, i'm trying to get this done by Wednesday night, but I haven't taken it apart yet, if I can't get the spring compressed I will have to take the tubes to a shop, and I won't have them back in time, and given many of the mechanics here are not the most knowledgeable apparently, I may not even get them back in working condition, I have never dealt with inverted shocks before.

also if duder has given me a room with two beds, then someone can use the other one, but be warned I snore, and people have told me I snore pretty good, never heard it myself, but hey

Sorry, you have to pull the fork assembly completely off the bike
