Has anyone used the lonelec tuneecu cable?

i have a spare Lonelec lead i ordered one from England and got 2 must have pressed a wrong button ,tried it on my 06 R3 and works fine if interested please post a reply I live in Hobart

The key is that the cable is not just a cable -- it has a chip in one end that performs a function that allows the USB to communicate with the ECU.

Without that chip, there is no data connection.

There are other cables out there that supposedly have this chip. What we know is that the LonElec version of the cable works.

Some of the iffy brands....they may have a chip, but it's the deprecated version one which the authors don't support anymore! Not only version one, but a reverse engineered buggy version one. Most definitely get the Lonelec kind. It's guaranteed to be up to date!
