I have an X with a ramair filter and tune from tuneecu. I've hit 130 multiple times and still pulling, just run out of road. I've made around 50 passes at the drag strip and the best time I could muster was 12.07 at 111mph. I also weigh around 350lbs so I'm pretty happy with that. I have 2 not very good videos on youtube. One vs gsxr600 and one vs zrx1200. Next mod will hopefully be carpenter exhaust and pc5. I'm hoping to break into the 11s next month when I go back.
If you get the Carpenter pipe, I'd recommend sending them your ECU to flash. I wound up with more power doing that, than with the PCV.

They're going to have to go to water cooling rather soon if they want to keep selling bikes. Air cooled bikes are very difficult to make efficient enough to pass stringent emission testing. And that's also why they have only 50-ish horsepower or something, can't make high power engines that pass testing with air cooling only (or at least it's very difficult, from what I gather.)

Hardley will never come out of the stone age unless they're forced to...

None of my riding friends have ridden my TR3t yet, I offer but so far no takers, I think they look at how massive it looks from the seat and just shy away from it. The only taker so far is my son who helped load the tune into it. He came back all grin, said it would absolutely cook his 103"- built Road King and I was like "YuThink?" :) I love this thing, its like bringing a bat to a ping pong game. The 120R is a nice brag I suppose for peeps that dont know better. My only problem with it is my main problem with all things Harley.... and that is C O S T... Will always have harleys cuz I just dig em but not for drag racing LOL. Cool of you to allow someone to ride yours. My motto; (if they can ride and I know/like them) " Sure go ahead, its insured, just dont hurt yourself"
My son has a ZX10 and he rode the Rocket a few weeks ago. Came back with that S&%T eating grin every Rocket rider gets. His quote " That BUFF (B-52 nick name) is friggin fast." My s&^t eating grin appeared on my face.

Well when I called and talked to them about the pipe they never said anything about the factory ecu, they only mentioned the pcv. I will make sure I talk to them about it before I purchase the exhaust, thank you for the tip!

I think what happens with the Harley riders is that they ride with Harley riders. In my area 80% of the bikes are Harley. The guy's I ride with all have Harley's. So in their mindset, if they increase their bike's power, they will be faster than everyone else they ride with. Other bikes don't exist because all they know is Harley. So once they are trapped in that narrow minded thinking, an average Harley rider doesn't even know a Rocket exists let alone can smoke them at will. I run across it all the time. I ride middle to end of the pack every time, I never show off or pass them. When I was asked about this all I said was "I know I'm the big dog, no need to prove it." Not one of my buddies has ever raced me. On the flip side there seems to be no end of ****ty old Camero's and Mustangs to humiliate.

I noticed that most of the Harley guys spend money to increase the performance and Harley make a lot goodies for all the models so its a big money maker for the dealers they even do engine builds in the showroom and then Dyno the bike for the crowd when they finish .

They don't advertise it, but they will do it.
I had a PCV tuned and it added power, once I had Carpenter flash it, and I turned off the PCV, the power increase was really noticible.

All you guys not getting anything from your dealers when you made a purchase?? My dealer also sold Harley's. They gave me 2400 over trade in value on my bike plus the $1500 rebate. And they gave me a Triumph shirt and my wife a Harley shirt. Plus that little rubber Triumph keychain. They did , however, only give me a half tank of gas.

Buying and adding trinkets to your ride is not really customising it.. someone, somewhere will have the same chrome, same tassels, same shop bought add on's.. if you really want to customise it you need to get the grinder and welder out and make it your own.
