Hardstreet slim bags

hi all, what a great weekend, not only did England thrash the Aussies, I managed to put my head into gear and get the Hardstreet panniers on the Rocket, thought i would post a few pics to show how they look and what i did, I still need to paint the plates and add a few more fixings but hope this is of interest to someone, cheers

Nice job ;) - for future reference please tell what size (capacity) they are and where you got them.

I see you have Rivco floorboards on the rear. If your still having pillion issues Rivco makes these for making the floorboards somewhat adjustable. Oh ya and welcome to our humble site !

Cheers guys for the comments

Good point about further details

I purchased them from Fast Eddy based in the States and he shipped them to the UK

Each bag has a capacity of 23 litres so they have pretty good volume

Lockable and decent water resistance

They come in gloss black, matt black or primed ready for painting

I think they are a good looking alternative to leather looking bags

Cost was circa £400 with shipping and duty excluding brackets

Cheers

Carl

Is there something that holds the bags down onto the two mounting pins? I would be worried that if you hit a bump the bags would just fly off the bike.

They are Easy Brackets/Ghost Brackets or a similar design .. I've used them on leather saddlebags and they don't jump off. I'd reckon on heavier hard cases they may 'sway' a bit but that's only an assumption.

Yes I can see the top on the lock cylinder now in the photo. That is a clean design and I am a big fan of being able to have the bike looking clean when you pull the bags off. I don't care for the extra width the bags add to the bike and would only have mine mounted for trips.
