I have an idea - your opinion would be appreciated. Coz you obviously know your stuff here.

I have a Triumph "tank bra" on my 2009 Standard. Has a little pouch which is frankly a waste of ruddy time. I use the pocket lid to secure some cables. Tried to fit a tank bag and it's pointless as any decent bag is hit by the handlebars on fill lock. I did have a little GPS size bag fixed on with velcro - but it struck me that a bra with a better sized set of bags on could be a solution for tollbooth coins - sunglasses etc.

Thoughts?
Should've put it here instead of another post on the thread lol. Post a pic of what you have now. I'm sure I can get you more usable space

Okey Dokey. Click on the thumbnails - you'll get a decent size picture.

So here is the base "bra" as from Triumph OEM - The little display is just there with velcro coz I couldn't be bothered to lift the tank and hunt for somewhere further forward. The pouch is close to useless.

Even a moderately sized tang bag (this is actually a cycling rack bag (I use it these days just to keep First Aid stuff in) obscures the instruments and gets in the way if you have to maneuver.

I had this fixed on for a while - until the foam etc inside turned to dust and the elastic straps etc perished. Access is awkward (but it is designed just to keep a GPS visible and safe) - But size wise is about right to stuff things in whilst wearing gloves etc. In the photo it has it's supplementary waterproof cover on. I still use it on the old Guzzi if I use the retro jacket with tiny pockets - but really it is a "bodge".

My thoughts are along the idea of two such pouches - One as pictured and another where the Triumph Pouch is. No need to remove bag to fill up - good visibility - no interference.

The Givi bags are nice, but the new one you showed looks like it would probably cover your gas cap just as what you have does. Wouldn't be bad if it was easy to unhook and flip out of the way and didn't interfere with the handlbars. You know your bike and riding position better than anyone so it's a decision you have to make. I could remove the original pouch and put a larger one in it's place similar to the one you added above it. Then make a second one, either permanent or magnetic to sit above it where you had the temporary one. Let me know your thoughts.

Another possible option would be to make essentially a tank top saddle bag type pouch that would be sewn to the bra and have a single lid that opened from the bottom. That way, when you opened it you would have access to the entire contents. It would be curved to match the tank. It would cover the length of both the pouches you have now and be whatever depth you decided. Just a thought

Thanks for your input. I think for now - I will try the Givi or something similar. I can install it (I think) with the rear pocket almost on the seat - At 40Euros it's not going to break the bank - And I can always use it on the Guzzi.

Worth a try. Guzzi's are nice bikes. I've been to Guzzi rallies and a good bunch of people. Rode my buddies Norge at a rally last month and really enjoyed it. I like the pics of the RC planes. I've flown for years. Gonna finish the engine rebuilds on my B17 today and hopefully start breaking them back in before the end of the week. Have a big annual fly in in Minnesota in a couple of weeks.

Never mind on the planes. Thought you posted them. They were an add lol. Haven't had my coffee yet

@Waconut I would most appreciate your input on my situation.

I've found the bags I've tried were blocked by my on-bar tachometer.

The recent addition of risers helped, as they pulled the bars away from the windshield.

I have the Triumph optional tank bra with the little pocket just big enough for a pack of cards or so.

Would like more. Will post photos soon.

Thank you.
