Darrell,

Before you go rushing off spending your hard earned on replacement bars try slackening off the handlebar clamps and changing the postion/height of the grips.

Moving the grips up an inch made a vast improvement for me on my 06 Classic

Good luck

Tony

Will do. Thanks !

A little off topic but what is with the "Pink Cupid.com" advertisement (Looking for your ideal lesbian lover???) at the top left of the page or is it only showing up here in Afghanistan?
Dennis

At Kandahar awaiting helo to Camp Lagman

I am not sure, but I think I could be a lesbian. Darn shame, the ad is not popping up here. Be careful over there Dennis.

There is a small reference dot on the handlebars we use to place the bars in the Triumph recommended position. You canb use this as a know point when trying different locations for comfort. Be sure to check nothing contacts the tank at full lock either way.

Problem I have with the stock bars is the bend at the grips. Twist my wrist into an uncomfortable position. Raising or lowering will not change the angle. Does anyone actually make bars for the rocket or do I have to make my owN?

I personally like the Hardley BuckHorns.
I've got a wrist that was fused back together several years and the fit is more comfortable for me than stock.
hardley bars will fit for about $50. vs. the $150 for risers.
at least $50. is what they cost in Tulsa.

I need something a little more like drags. The rest of my bikes have that type bend, more perpendicular to the bike. I Have a set of drags and risers from the HD but don't know if they will work. Of course that is what customizing is all about. Making it work.

1100+ miles so far....surprised to find that the bars don't seem to be as much of an issue now. Guess I kinda got used to them. Felt odd at first.
