Hi Punker,

I fitted hagon Nitros on my 2014 Roadster a couple of years ago. As you're in the UK give them a ring and they'll happily talk things through with you. Dave is the suspension guru and has worked there for many years. Knows the Rocket well.

They build them to ride as you do either mainly solo, 2 up etc and take your weight into consideration and set them up ready to fit. IIRC they have a lifetime guarantee. Mine came within a week of discussing them.
Thanks Mate. I ride 2 up mainly
What are you plans for the forks? - The reason I ask is that Maxton do rear shocks. And if you were going to upgrade the front then I'd think strongly about having matched front and rear.

Doing the forks is WELL worth it. I immediately gained 10mph in the bends. I already had Fournales on the rear or I'd have had a matched set done.
Thanks. No plans on the front forks as they seem ok but thanks a lot for the advice.

Silly question: I'm getting around to installing the Hagon Nitros and the manual says remove the bolts and discard all.

Have you folks reused the bolts, or, broken down and ordered a set ? (92 cents for four, plus $17 shipping)

Never occurred to me not to use the same bolts. i don't recall reading not to either. Surely it depends on the age of the bolts? Mine were only 5 months old.

Perhaps that is a part of the manual where the lawyers "helped". It clearly says remove the bolts and discard. There are several places in the manual that read that way -- around the brakes is one that comes to mind.

In any case, the knowledge and experience here is good enough for me.

Hmmm wonder if its for some stupid like they come precoated with thread locker.

That's exactly what it is . Just like the utmost necessity of fitting new disc bolts . It's all about the thread locker . You can buy a gallon of the stuff for the price of the replacement triumph bolts ! Just be sure to use the blue semi hardening . It's never a question of the integrity of the bolts , it's all about not having them rattle loose !

Hi Guys. What’s your thoughts on the Hagon rear shocks. I’m replacing mine next month and the write ups are pretty good. Been quoted £365 for a pair. Are there better ones out there for the same price or cheaper.
Cheers

I have had Hagon Nitros - a fine shockie.
For a worthwhile extra hunsky in cost, the Progressive 444 damping is an improvement and the pre-load is way easy to adjust by hand on the fly.

Thank you folks !
Hagon Nitros installed, tall windshield added, and adaptive JW Speaker 7" headlight installed.

Be sure and let us know how you like your Adaptive.
I'm fixing on bringing a incident meter with me, so perhaps at Stearns we can do a comparo of your 7" to my dual 5.75"?
