Per the installation guide, you should just disconnect the cable—then you're free to rotate it in place until you find the best position. Note that the cable should be at the top when tightening the lock nuts before reconnecting the cable.

Where do you disconnect the cable? Seems to run off into nowhere.

Just search for the part number, in this case: A9778507

Here are the diagrams from the instructions:

The torque value for the starter motor cover bolts is 6.6 lb-ft (or 9 Nm).
