Grief about owning a British bike?

Actually the Lemon is not good for the windscreens. Just plain Pledge or as I said I use Pledge Multi Purpose Cleaner. It does not have the polish in it. Great for cleaning an touch ups on rides. I still past wax the bike every once in a while. I just love getting to post this again. LOL

Billy, I don't use the Pledge anymore. I used it on one of my old Harleys and it turned it into a chair. :D

Friends, I'm in the market for a used RIII and will likely be picking one up tomorrow.

I've owned two bikes, both Kawasakis. I had initially wanted an Indian as I began looking for a bike again (as I like the idea of an American bike) but the Rocket caught my eye and hasn't let go. Not to mention, the Indian REALLY is out of my price range. HD has just never done it for me.

Sitting there last night, started wondering if Triumph riders get grief for not riding an American bike the same way riders of Japanese bikes do. The folks I hang with don't care one bit (and I REALLY don't either) just wondering if Triumphs are viewed the same by those that do care.

Just want to know what to expect!

I've owned 2 Hondas, 2 Kawasakis, 2 Yamahas and 1 Triumph....

I never thought anything could replace my XS-11....put nearly 100k miles on it on nearly 20 yrs....then, one day, while looking at a 3rd Kawasaki (Vulcan 2000), I foolishly threw a leg over the R3T...IT JUST FELT RIGHT....

Been around a lot of riders in 40+ years on the road...some, you just cannot satisfy...."F" 'em...YOU ride YOUR bike, let them ride theirs....love yer bike like yer wife and yer kids....take care of it....learn everything about it....

Ride on, dude...

Brothers, this has been so cool to hear your thoughts about this. I love the passion you guys have for your bikes and for riding in general. Finally got mine registered today and now need to buy a helmet, jacket, gloves, etc. Of course, it is unseasonably warm out today - 60ºF - in Michigan on November 28?!! Can't wait!

WHOS going to give you grief a bunch of dirtbag HARLEY losers what a joke they are just a bunch of old jailbird drunks and dopeheads WHO CARES
need to watch what you are saying classifying people like that some of my best friends (who I will defend to the end and them for me)and my blood brother and his wife ride a harley, bmw.now its youre turn to look like a jacka** AGAIN

I didn't feel like too much of a bottom feeder/criminal/jailbird POS when I was riding my beautiful old Shovel. :)

Well, at least my wife of 47 years told me I was an OK kind of guy.

Good buddy, you are unlikely to be offered a job with the diplomatic corps, though I suppose that's true for a few of us here.

Just to give a clear definition of diplomacy...

Most of the guys around here are pretty good sorts and don't care what one rides. Some ribbed me a bit when I showed up on my Kawasaki Nomad, such as wondering where I lost my Harley, but it was just in fun. I must say though that I seemed to work on that old Shovel more than I rode it. Conversely, with exception of a TPS issue early on, my 07 was trouble free.

On the 1%ers; I just avoid those.
