Great Price for Bridgestone Exedra Max (in Oz)

Boulevarde C109. Speed and weight rating of the Bridgestone is the same as Metz and Avon. Only difference is the profile. Anyone who claims it's not suited to a Rocket doesn't know what they're talking about. People put different sized tyres on bikes all the time - size up or down; profile up or down. Name the tyre shops with a problem and everyone avoid them.

Brisbane motorcycle tyres ,don't waste your time going there to get exdra max fitted or any other brand except Metz

Sr factory tech rep for B'stone over here said that the Exedra Max fits on our rims properly and was designed for this style bike, i.e., large cruisers!? Sounds like somebody's full of Malarkey.

My local dealer said the same thing "not suited to the R3 and that your insurance would be void and to check the owners manual to see which tyre is recommended (only metz).
This bloke does not know anything about MY insurance policy or about insurance generally.
If you make a claim lets say the bike caught fire:eek: that tyre was not the cause of the damage so they cannot refuse your claim. I.e. if it does not cause the loss to uccur it shouldn't be a reason to void a claim...that's what I have been told.

Lofty - would be MOST interested to learn under what regulation they are being defected... because I am almost certain there is NO regulation prohibiting them. Can you find out what it actually says on the ticket??

They are not type approved by the manufacturer (MC stamped) The only car type tyre that has a MC stamp is the rear tyre used on the Can-Am Spyder.

Where in Adeaide , Lofty , do they do them for the tourer , i'm going to be needing front and back shortly .

What other tyres have you guys who own the tourer used , i've only used the metzlers i'm getting 7-9 thousand out of the front and finding they start cupping before they wear out , but getting around 7 thous out of the rear ,

Looking for something that gives better mileage .

Pooraka Motorcycles at the end of the cul-de-sac opposite the council tip.

That's Interesting as some Spyder owners are going to get defects too!! as I have heard the the approved tyres for Spyder's are horrendously expensive and a lot of owners are getting same sze in a car tyre fitted instead

The C109 weighs in at 383kgs wet - 12kgs less than a Rocket but hardly matters - and has about 115/115 (hp/ft lbs) v the Rocket's 140/140. Are these people saying the tolerances are so fine that the tyre isn't up to the extra power of a stock Rocket? For that matter, do they dyno bikes before fitting tyres or do they assume every bike is stock standard? I have no issue with someone not wanting to fit a car tyre but to dictate what brand and size bike tyre to run is stupid and annoying. I'm tempted to ring them.
