Great Price for Bridgestone Exedra Max (in Oz)

They are not type approved by the manufacturer (MC stamped) The only car type tyre that has a MC stamp is the rear tyre used on the Can-Am Spyder.

OK but they don't HAVE to be!! There is definitely no Australian regulation, Federal, State, ADRs, anything.... that says a tyre on a motorcycle has to be stamped MC.

If it's on a motorcycle, it's a motorcyle tyre.

If it's on a wheelbarrow, it's a wheelbarrow tyre.

If it happened to me I'd take it to court, and win.

But then, of course, some shiny-arsed bureaucrat would take it upon himself to MAKE a regulation.... in the interests of safety, naturally. He'd know, wouldn't he.

Richard I could be wrong but I thought thr Rocket only weighed 360kg wet, as I said I could be wrong:D

But it's ok for dealerships to fit Avons to them and they are not the recommended tyre either, so that being said I reckon its a load of,,,,,, "politics" , go figure.

I could go to court all I like mate, I'd still be up for the $200 to get the defect off. The filth here in SA can defect a vehicle on suspicion that is is not roadworthy, they don't have to be right. Then, if you prove in court that you were in the right, you don't get the inspection fee back only any fines you may have got.

Beaurepaires, Moruya NSW, $335 fitted for a Bridgestone Exedra Max 240/55R 16. Speak to the owner, Chris Nicholson, and mention you're another Rocket owner. Phone 02 44744454.

When you say fitted did they actually remove the wheel or did you have to do that yourself and take it down for fitting?

In a group bye I paid $195 but just recently I paid $475 ,it type of evened it self out, still the excedra max is a good tyre. Are exedra max,s made differently for different countries with different climates or are they all the same ?
