Got a set of jardines and my bike is popping like a bastard so i decieded to order a tuneboy, just curious, where do i plug the cable in when my tuneboy arrives? i had a bit of a look under my seat but couldnt see anything obvious, I have already downloaded the smoothdecel2 tune after reading the forum so hopefully that will sort the popping, it doesnt bother me too much its just that the cops over hear are having a crackdown on loud pipes and the popping is pretty bad and will attract unwanted attention.

What? The blue smoke off the rear tire and the front wheel off the ground won't bother them?;)

Tuneboy connection

I have Jardines and the Power Commander 3. The unit goes under the gas tank. You pull the plug for the ECU and match the two connectors of the TuneBoy to the male and female cable connectors. Then just tuck it away. My PC3 had enough cable to tuck it in the space behind the battery under the seat.

Im still waiting for my tuneboy, should be here next week, they ran out of stock because of their last group buy, did you have problems with popping on decel? and did your pc3 stop it?

Splurter:

The Power Commander 3 is an optional tuning device like TuneBoy accept, that TuneBoy addresses several other issues with features that come programmed into the PCU on the Rocket.

Do yourself a favor and do a search on this forum for "TuneBoy" and start reading your homework assignment. You may also want to search for "decel pop" which explains the popping and what causes it. There have been volumes written about how to set up and use tuneboy including tunes that are available on the TuneBoy website. Other captains can help you out once you get the TuneBoy in hand and installed into your home PC and get it hooked up to the PCU on your bike.

The use of TuneBoy does not require the disconnecting of the PCU on your bike as does the PC3 Unit. They are different tuneing devices to get some of the same results.

I also have Jardines plus a lot of other performance changes ranging from intake systems to alterations with TuneBoy. When you get to the point you wish to start altering fuel maps which will help with the "decel pop"....the guys who hang out on this site can help you fix the noise issues.

Good Luck...happy tuning...S.B....:)

I cant wait to try some new tunes, ive done a fair bit of reading on the forum and pig9r has steered me in the right direction with a tune to try out, just waiting for the mail man to bring my tuneboy, Its easter weekend here so the mailman wont be around till next tuesday, looks like theres some pretty knowledgable and friendly blokes on this site so im sure if i have any problems i can find a solution on this forum, i will add k&n pod filters at some stage down the track, i want to try and extract as much grunt as i can without going too stupid.
