Good choice for crash bars for my 23 GT

I looked 'em up.

Edit 9-16-24 These are what I found on Amazon- different brand.

They come in black or silver, but not compatible with the 3R due to connections points. Here's the link for you GT guys..

can stop but wonder if the mounting points on the bike will have significant strength to stop 700lbs during a slide/crash. aluminium frame and cast engine block mounted via stainless steel bolts and sliders? I’m not doubting the slider strength.

That said the Mad Hornet it’s one of the better options I’ve seen thus far, albeit not my cup of tea.

That is a real concern. I went down on my bike at about 45 mph and was lucky the tank survived with fairly mild damages elsewhere (considering). I'd rather suffer more damage than I had that time (gas tank, etc.) than destroy the engine block. The design of this bike makes finding a good solution problematic.

That's probably the best solution. Connection points are part of that puzzle.

My bike basically fell on me. I didn't get my leg out from under it in time and it really raised hell with my knee. This is my main concern, protecting me.
I also feel like this system will take quite a beating before something breaks... but țhen I am not an engineer.
