Is that a Pirelli @1K9 ?

I know the Yokohama works because I run it on my R3T and I ran it on my 2011 Road Glide I had before the rocket. I think there is a Goodyear that some guys run here as well. There is a darkside website dedicated to running cts on the rear and what has been tested. Directional tires and runflats are what people tend to go with also higher speed ratings are desirable because most have a sturdier sidewall. Once you ride it take it easy and give it 400 miles to break in. As stated the bead is different than a MC tire and takes a while to break in. A lot of folks run them close to 38 lbs but I prefer to run mine at the recommended max but I did this after breaking it in at 38 lbs. you will have to play with it to see what you like. Let us know if the Pereli is a winner. I'm fairly certain any V rated will work but have not personally tested the theory and will provably continue to use directional tread. All said I have over 8000 miles with my current set and front and rear still look new. I put a 170bp excedra max on the front.

I really don’t get why people get so butt hurt about it. They just scared to grow a pair????
lol. You are trying to start a ****storm aren't ya? Up until now they have been doing there best to ignore this post which is difficult for them because they desperately want to tell you how dangerous it is. The biggest benefit of a ct is improved longevity of the tire. It works great for speeds under 100 and in the twisties. That's my own experience.

quite a few of us on this site were trying car tyres on the Rocket before you even knew what a rocket was, I kept mine on for 10000miles then went back to the MC tyre
Car tyre has two and only two advantages over a MC tyre
#1 It lasts longer
#2 It helps on the rear brake for those with out ABS
Main reason people go darkside is to save money, and if you ever watch the racing at the Isle of Man you will NOT see a car tyre on a bike and just one of those riders have more knowledge about tyres/handling than this whole site combined.

Can't argue with that.
I concede ;-)

And a corollary to #1: DS don't flat-spot with a lot of highway cruising.
That's actually the main reason I switched.
A dual compound front tire mitigates flat spots too.

Yeah and at TT tires are slicks that last one 1/2 hour race if at all. Never seen anyone at TT carrying a passenger either.

I have a Metz on a rim in my garage. It takes me 1/2 hour to change my rear tire. At the present time, I continue to like the road dampening the CT provides. My skills are far from the limits of the CT while cornering.
