Going darkside in the next couple of weeks

After waffling around for a month, I have decided to go to the Darkside. At least going to have to try it once to see if it works for me. Simple economics was the deciding factor for me, I just can't foot a $1000 to $1250 a year tire bill and I ain't going cut down on my riding either.

So, from what I have been able to gather: 2013 R3T I should be getting a 205/60r16 Riken Raptor. I weigh in at 300lbs or about 21.5 stone for you RDU guys so start off at 35psi?

I can get the Riken wholesale being in the car business so It won't hurt my feelings too bad to take it off in a thousand miles and throw it in the scrap heap if it Sux.

It is always a good thing to slow down in bad weather conditions...

What I was referring to was the design of the tire tread as to hydroplaning.. Thus the amount of water the tire will pump out from under the tire to reduce the risk of hydroplaning..

Wet traction has to do with the with the softness of the tire rubber compound allowing it to grip in wet conditions.

Tire Rack is the only place I know of that gives you these charts on tires.....Knowledge is power

Like me...I have absolutely no knowledge about flying..........But I guess there are at least 2 things that are absolutely worthless while flying

The Altitude above you and the fuel truck on the ground......Am I right????

Because if you not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room.

been there twice in my life ( one major airplane crash and one near miss f***g close with mountain) done that and realized there was more to riding than looking at the edge believe me.

BTW duke was an airplane made by beechcraft flew it for years in alberta

My Ol'Man owned a plane when I was very young.......I hated that thing....he only took me flying a few times...

It was so ugly......all I remember it was yellow and had a V tail on the back.....and it rattled and shook like it was going to fall to pieces..

I guess that is why I still hate flying...LOL

yes and beech yellow ....rather ugly indeed but if I remember much of beechcraft their machines were and still are very strongly built except for the beech starship which was discontinued right after it was introduced in 1987 at the paris airshow along with the italian PIAGGO avanti P 180 which is still flying
